Hesitation series By Basketball Trainer:
There are multiple ways a basketball player can train for a hesitation move that is meant to create space. It just important as basketball trainer in Orange County to have certain fundamentals in place in order for the moves to reach their maximum potential!
1.) Keep hand on top of ball:
As it “floats” make sure to keep the hand on top of the ball so make it flawless. This was it will be much easier to do when the dribble preceding the float is a pound dribble.
2.) Change Speeds:
Go from slow-fast in order to freeze your defender
3.) Push off your toes in order to be more explosive
4.) Have a body language misdirection:
One of the illusive ways to use your eyes. Looking up to the rim to get the defender to think you’re gonna shoot or shoulders shifting in one direction
5.) Body weight controlled in order to load and explode past your defender
